To celebrate Ireland's EU Presidency in 2026, Sligo Jazz Project dedicates the first three nights of its festival to the concept of "European Voices", celebrating groundbreaking diversity in Europe. Tonight's double bill is Part 3 of this series. Emma Rawicz, the Berlin-based British saxophonist named UK Jazz Artist of the Year at the 2026 JazzFM Awards, leads her stellar quartet featuring SJP Artist in Residence Aaron Parks. They are joined on this double bill by Zurich-born, Berlin-based vocalist Lucia Cadotsch — recipient of the Swiss Music Prize (2023) and the German Jazz Award (2021) — making this an unmissable celebration of contemporary European jazz at its finest.

Lucia Cadotsch is a Zurich-born, Berlin-based vocalist, songwriter, producer and mentor. With her distinctive vocal style and her innovative band projects such as Speak Low, AKI and LIUN + The Science Fiction Band, Lucia has become one of the defining voices of her generation. For over twenty years, her musical universe has continued to grow — a world of emotional depth and subtle interplay that moves comfortably in the connected space between song and improvisation.
She is the recipient of major honours including the Swiss Music Prize (2023), the German Jazz Award (2021), and the ECHO Jazz (2017). Critics from The Guardian, DownBeat, Jazzwise, and the New York City Jazz Record have praised her releases for their originality, depth and unmistakable sonic identity.

Dublin-based jazz and blues guitarist and vocalist Lee Meehan has been a key figure on the Irish music scene for over 20 years. A graduate of Newpark Music College/DCU's Jazz Performance programme, Lee has performed with leading Irish and international artists as both bandleader and sideman. He plays regularly at major venues and festivals including Arthur's Blues & Jazz Club, Cork Jazz Festival, Electric Picnic, and Vicar Street.
In 2023, Lee released his acclaimed debut album Some Of Us Are Looking At The Stars, praised for its soulful sound, strong compositions, and standout musicianship — named among All About Jazz's top releases of 2024.
